Clear, straightforward and concise. However, three tips, if I may be so bold: If you are doing this, then unless they have been changed quite recently, change the discs and pads too; do check the torque figures and use a good torque wrench; lastly, if you are taking part anything like this, get the tracking checked when it has all settled down. It will probably be ok [which should then be free] otherwise, get it reset. AUITODOC, thank you.
THANK GOD the german engineers made replacebable bearing and hubs, without having to press a bunch of them in. makes replacing the bearings SOOOOO much easier. and cheaper too.
Like the content. He dosent over explain stuff like others and when they over explain stuff I don't really learn. But this guy just shows the process which is very nice and simple. Only thing that I think he should do is put torque specs for every bolt on the screen like he does with the size of wrenches and stuff. But overall great content.

@@charles6771 it’s been so long I don’t remember if it was frozen, if it were really tight I would have used a leverage bar to break it free. I did the front passenger side.

Pro tip. Just remove the entire knuckle with the bearing attached, loosen the 4 bolts, then PERSUADE each bolt with a metal mallet to work the bearing out. Fastest and easiest way. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NEW BOLTS FIRST. Just remember that that knuckle is ALUMINUM so strike carefully. Then I took a wire wheel to the inside of the knuckle to knock down the rust and then applied some grease to stop corrosion in the future. Good luck.
question - do you need a front wheel alignment because you disconnected the lower ball joint OR not. Is it necessary or not needed as location stays the same

@@autodocuk Do you mean an M12 Triple Square Spline Bit (sometimes called a ZXN Triple Square Spline Socket) for the wheel bearing bolts? Using a T55 (which is what fits) will strip those bolts. I speak from experience :)
@@scootchisme seeing as the guy in the demo used an impact wrench to remove, AND INSTALL, the axle retaining bolts (something you're advised to NOT do)... I'd take this video with a grain of salt. Otherwise, yes, you are correct M12 refers to a triple-square bit... NOT a Torx bit.
